HAW-UAW Picket Shift Sign Up

Use this form to sign up for shifts on the HAW-UAW picket line. Harvard researchers and teachers have voted overwhelmingly to authorize our elected bargaining committee to call a strike should the Harvard administration continue to deny us a fair contract. Because Harvard admin has continued to make very little progress, we have set a strike deadline of Tuesday, November 10 at 9AM ET.

By striking, we would hold Harvard accountable for its unlawful behavior which is preventing agreement on a contract that covers ALL academic workers, and includes fair compensation, increased support for families and enforceable protections against harassment and discrimination. While we still hope to resolve a fair contract without a work stoppage, we are prepared to mobilize.

Sign up for picket shifts

The more academic workers on the picket line, the stronger our strike will be! So, sign up for as many picket shifts as you can, but at least 5 in order to qualify for strike pay. We are encouraging everyone to sign up to picket both shifts on Nov 10 to ensure a strong day 1 turnout.

There are opportunities for workers with access needs to contribute to the picket line without marching, including helping with check-in, food, phone banking, etc. We encourage everyone who can to come to the picket line in person to contribute to the visibility of our power.
