  • Count me in the Majority for the GRID Workers Alliance-UAW!

  • Workers at GRID Alternatives are forming a union in order to improve our working conditions. We believe GRID can do better to provide fair pay, improve job security, broaden workload protections, and guarantee workplace safety. Ultimately, through unionizing, we can together demand more accountability from leadership. Like nonprofits across the country, including with UAW where nonprofits are organizing up and down the west coast, we deserve the voice and respect that we can gain through collective bargaining. Without collective bargaining and a union contract, our jobs are more insecure and management can make decisions unilaterally about training, workplace culture, and layoffs – particularly as the green energy industry faces federal attacks. If we win a union, and ultimately a collective bargaining agreement, GRID cannot change the terms of our employment unilaterally. The security and stability of a contract can enable us to focus more on our work, our families, and our communities.

  • I hereby join with my co-workers to improve our working conditions and our lives. I authorize the GRID Workers Alliance-International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) to represent me for the purposes of collective bargaining with my employer over wages, benefits, working conditions and other terms and conditions of employment. I understand GRID Alternatives employees will elect a bargaining committee of our coworkers to negotiate the contract and that I will not pay dues or fees until a contract has been democratically approved by GRID workers. I also understand that if a majority of employees sign authorization cards, GRID can recognize and start bargaining with our union.
